Translators specializing in Turkish-Arabic literary exchange, Ahmed Zakaria and Malak Deniz have co-translated numerous works, including Three and a Half Years with Nazim Hikmet, The Devil Within Us, The Unison of Arab and Turkish Music in the Twentieth Century, and Dear Shameless Death. They were jointly awarded the Ibn Battuta Prize for Travel Literature in the category of translated reportage for their Arabic rendition of Aziz Nesin’s The World Is a Big Pot and I Am a Ladle. In 2024, they published Yılmaz Güney — Biography of the Ugly Sultan with Jusoor Al-Thaqafa Publishing and Distribution.
