This book presents a collection of interviews with the late Greek filmmaker Theodoros Angelopoulos (1935—2012), one of the most prominent and influential directors in the history of Greek cinema. It traces the chronological arc of Angelopoulos’s career and the details of his cinematic works. The conversations begin with an interview by Florian Hopf in 1971 and conclude with a dialogue between Angelopoulos and the book’s compiler, Dan Fainaru, in 1999.
