Samar Thiyab, a Lebanese writer and translator based in Spain, was born in Damascus on September 23, 1976.
She has published three poetry collections to date: There’s a Fight Outside (Dar Al-Ghawoon, 2009), The Museum of Objects and Creatures (Dar Al-Ghawoon, 2011), and I Write Colored Poems (Dar Kana’an, 2021).
She works in the fields of translation and visual arts.
